CASE STUDY
Flottec, Inc.
PROBLEM: The company was moving their corporate headquarters out of New Jersey to Houston, Texas, and at the same time opening an office in Mexico. They wanted to retain their existing phone numbers, get a new Texas number and wanted to call their employees in Mexico without having to get a Mexican number. Incoming calls had to ring at all locations simultaneously (including Mexico). In addition, each office had to be able to answer and transfer calls to any another office or coworker’s cellphone as well as display the same caller name and number from any office for outbound calls.
INSIGHT: We knew that it was very important to function as though everyone was under the same roof even though they were spread out across North America. It was important to integrate voice features that allowed them to handle customers quickly and dispatch them to the appropriate rep without a lot of complicated steps.
SOLUTION: Getting them a Texas number was the first order of business and we were able to provide them with a large choice to pick from. Because we provide a hosted VoIP platform, we were able to synchronize all phones to ring simultaneously and be answered by anyone from any of the offices. The VoIP phone in Mexico allowed them to communicate with that office directly without incurring any additional costs of having to go through the complications of getting a TelMex phone number. Calls were answered promptly and directed to the appropriate representative either in another office or in the field.
